Monitors Receivers and Guidance

John Deere Displays, Receivers and Guidance

Guidance is where most precision farming starts. A StarFire receiver tells the machine where it is, a display shows the job and records the work, and AutoTrac steers so you can focus on the planter, sprayer or combine instead of the steering wheel.

Koenig Equipment sells, installs and supports John Deere precision technology across Ohio and Indiana, on John Deere machines and, with the right kit, on other brands too.

John Deere GPS and Guidance FAQs

What kind of GPS does John Deere use?
John Deere machines use StarFire receivers. Accuracy depends on the correction signal, from SF-RTK at 2.5 cm pass to pass on the StarFire 7500 to RTK at plus or minus 1 inch using a radio or Mobile RTK.

How much does John Deere GPS cost?
It depends on the receiver, display, steering kit and correction level you choose, and some features are licenses or subscriptions. Request a quote and our team will price a package for your machines.

Can I put AutoTrac on a tractor that does not have it?
Yes. The AutoTrac Universal 300 and AutoTrac Controller 300 steering kit add AutoTrac to a wide range of tractors, and the AutoTrac Controller brings AutoTrac to non-Deere machines.

How accurate is RTK?
RTK provides plus or minus 1 inch pass-to-pass accuracy season after season. With Mobile RTK there is no line-of-sight requirement to a base station, which helps on hilly ground.

Who can help me learn my John Deere GPS?
Our Optimization Specialists work one on one with growers, and the Precision Ag Academy offers hands-on training on guidance lines, displays and documentation.
