Rakes

John Deere Wheel Rakes

A wheel rake turns cut hay into a tidy windrow so your baler can pick it up cleanly. The John Deere wheel rakes we carry range from a compact carted rake for smaller hay operations to a heavy-duty rake with a 29 ft maximum raking width.

Koenig Equipment sells and supports John Deere and Frontier hay tools across Ohio and Indiana. Request a quote on any rake and our team will help you match it to your tractor and your acres.

Which Wheel Rake Is Right for You?

All four series rake with wheels rather than a rotary or bar design. The biggest differences are raking width, frame style and how much crop each one is built to move.

Hay Season Service and Parts

Hay windows are short, so a rake that is ready to go matters. Our ag service technicians handle repairs and pre-season checks on hay equipment, and our parts teams stock genuine John Deere parts. You can also order parts anytime on Koenig Marketplace.

Schedule service or ask about an ag off-season inspection before the first cutting.

John Deere Wheel Rake FAQs

Which wheel rake fits a smaller hay operation?
The WR00 carted wheel rake needs 31 hp and one SCV, and its adjustable hitch matches a wide range of tractor drawbar heights. It rakes up to 21 ft and folds onto its cart for an 8.2 ft transport width.

What does a center kicker wheel do?
A center kicker wheel rakes the hay in the middle of the windrow that the main rake wheels do not turn. That helps drying time and gives the baler a cleaner windrow to pick up. It is an option on the WR12 and WR32.

Why do the WR32 and WR54 use 60 in. rake wheels?
Larger wheels turn slower at the same ground speed. That reduces leaf loss for cleaner windrows and better hay quality, and it gives the tines a longer wear life.

Are these Frontier rakes?
The WR12 Series is part of the Frontier line of implements. Koenig Equipment sells and supports Frontier attachments along with John Deere equipment.

How much does a John Deere wheel rake cost?
Price depends on the series, width and options. Request a quote and our team will send current pricing and any offers.
