The John Deere 2630 is the secondary, light-duty disk in the 2630 Series, built for seedbed preparation in light to medium soils. It works up to 5 in. deep. The 2633 and 2635 in the same series cover medium and heavy-duty tillage.
The 2630 comes in three-section and five-section models with working widths from 20.75 ft to 49.25 ft. Blades are 22 or 24 in. with 7.25 or 9 in. spacing, and the 9 in. spacing version comes with solid-spherical blades front and rear.
Mechanical wing control comes standard on all five-section 2630 Series disks, using a large spring in each wing frame to keep the disk level in tough conditions. TruSet is base equipment, TruSet side-to-side leveling is available, and you can add mechanical or TruSet hydraulic stabilizer wheels for rolling ground.
The 2630 uses extended-life, flange-mounted bearings with a multi-lipped seal that resists abrasive soils and cannot be damaged by frequent greasing. They self-align to the gang bolt and allow a limited, seasonal maintenance interval that you can tailor to your soil and conditions.
The hydraulic rolling basket is offered with a round bar or a knife-edge. The knife-edge basket works best in heavier, wet soil and can be used in rocky conditions. Radial tires come standard on the mainframe and are optional on the wings and stabilizer wheels.
