How does HydraFlex help the John Deere RDF45 follow the ground?
HydraFlex is a hydraulic float system you control from the cab by adjusting the armrest knob, which changes pressure in the float arm cylinders. It gives the cutterbar a 7.5 in. float range, and raising float pressure to maximum locks the draper in rigid mode.
What is the two-speed center feed on the John Deere RDF45?
The center feed drum runs at 200 rpm on low speed and 240 rpm on high speed, and you shift with a toolless handle on the gearcase. Low speed is gentler on easy-shelling crops like soybeans and lentils, while high speed helps prevent slug feeding in canola or high-yielding cereals.
