The RDF35 has a 35 ft cutterbar and an overall platform length of 38.05 ft. It uses a rigid frame with a flexible cutterbar and weighs approximately 7,683 lb.
HydraFlex is a hydraulic float system that lets you control cutterbar ground pressure from the cab by turning an armrest knob, so the cutterbar follows the ground closely as conditions change. It has a 7.5 in. float range, and raising float pressure to maximum locks the draper into rigid mode.
The slow setting runs the feed drum at 200 rpm to gently handle easy-shelling crops like lentils and soybeans, while the high setting runs it at 240 rpm to prevent slug feeding in canola or high-yielding cereals. You change speeds with a toolless handle on the gearcase, and feed drum torque is 1,217 lb-ft.
The RDF35 has a 4 in. double-cut, dual-drive, shaft-driven cutterbar for higher harvesting speed without giving up cut quality. Knife speed is 520 cycles per minute on X Series combines and 490 cycles per minute on S-Series combines.
Yes. An optional 18 in. hydraulically driven top auger runs the full width of the draper to help bushy crops like heavy canola and field peas feed evenly into the feeder house. It can be turned off for crops like lentils or wheat.
