Customer-First Approach

Clay takes a direct approach with every customer, talking through what they're looking for and helping them land on the best option for their operation. What drives him most is helping farmers maintain uptime, especially when the season is at its busiest and every hour in the field counts. Customers also know he'll go to bat for them, treating their farm's success like it's part of his own team.

One of his most common pieces of advice:
“Don't be afraid to try or do something different.”

In the Field

Clay's expertise in planters and combines regularly pays off for his customers. When a customer called with a combine that wasn't set correctly, Clay worked through the settings with him step by step until they had the machine dialed in and getting a much better sample out of the grain tank. In another case, a customer wanted individual nozzle control for his sprayer, but the option didn't exist for his sprayer's age at the time. Clay attended a John Deere training later that year, learned an option was coming, and got ahead of it, getting the customer committed to a PUK kit for his sprayer before most others even knew it was available.

  • Hands-on combine setup expertise that improves grain sample quality
  • Staying ahead of upcoming technology to get customers early access
  • A direct, no-nonsense approach that keeps farmers running during busy season

“The satisfaction for the customer when the technology works correctly the first time with little issues is my favorite part.”
