John Deere 100 Series FAQs
Is a 100 Series lawn tractor right for my yard?
The 100 Series is built for homeowners with suburban and smaller lawns. A 42 inch deck suits smaller yards, while the 48 inch S140, S160 and S170 and the 54 inch S180 cover more ground per pass on larger lots.
What is the difference between the S110 and the S120?
Both use a 42 inch Edge deck and suit smaller lawns. The S120 steps up from the S110's 19 HP engine to a 22 HP V-twin and lists the Easy Change 30-second oil change system, which saves time at every oil change.
What does ELS mean on the S160, S170 and S180?
ELS stands for Extended Life Series. These three models use a 24 HP V-twin ELS engine, the most power in the 100 Series.
What warranty comes with a John Deere 100 Series?
100 Series lawn tractors carry a 2-year or 120-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty, whichever comes first. The X300 Series steps up to 4 years or 300 hours.
Where can I get my 100 Series serviced?
Any Koenig service department. We sharpen blades, change belts and oil, and stock the parts to keep your tractor running.
