Landscape Equipment FAQs
What is a box blade used for?
A box blade levels and finishes ground on driveways, lots and fields. Scarifier shanks loosen hard, compacted ground first, and the cutting edge then grades it smooth. A fixed tailgate adds strength in rough conditions.
Should I buy a rear blade or a box blade?
A rear blade angles, tilts and offsets, and on most Frontier RB models the turntable pivots a full 360 degrees, so it handles ditches, backfilling and pushing snow. A box blade levels and finishes ground, with scarifier shanks to break up hard ground first, which suits driveways, lots and pads. Our team can help you decide which fits your work.
What size rear blade does my tractor need?
Use your tractor's PTO horsepower and hitch category. For example, the RB20 Series fits Category 1 tractors from 23 to 55 PTO HP, the RB22 is rated up to 80 PTO HP on 2WD tractors, and the RB23 works a 10 ft width on tractors up to 120 PTO HP on 2WD.
What does iMatch compatible mean?
The iMatch quick hitch converts a tractor's 3-point hitch to fixed hooks and attaching points for a quick, efficient hookup. Many of these series, including the RB20, BB50, LR50 and CA20E, are iMatch compatible.
What is a landscape rake used for?
A landscape rake handles pick-up, grooming and material distribution. On the LR50 Series the rake rotates a full 360 degrees with five forward and five reverse angle settings.
