Tractor Digging Attachment FAQs
Which tractor do I need for a rear digging attachment?
Each model is built for specific tractor series and frames, and many need a mounting kit. The 595, for example, mounts to 5 Series tractors with a Quik-Tatch subframe. Tell us your tractor model and our team will confirm the right attachment and kit.
Can I add a hydraulic thumb?
Yes, on several models. The 260B, 270B and 370B offer a field-install thumb option, which helps when grabbing rocks, stumps and brush.
Do I have to remove my mid-mower deck?
Not always. The 270B is compatible with a mid-mount mower so the deck can stay on, and the 485 RSA mount plates stay on the tractor and work with mid-mount attachments.
How does a three-point quick-attach model hook up?
On the 270B, you remove the top link, lower the three-point hitch, back the tractor in to engage the lift rods in the mainframe slots, then secure it with the locking pin. Always follow the operator manual, and our team is happy to walk you through it.
Do you also sell post hole diggers?
Yes. The PHD0 and PHD1 Series post hole diggers mount to the three-point hitch, and the PHD1 adds a parking stand, an auger alignment handle and an anti-burying auger plate.
