Z900 Series Zero Turn Mowers

John Deere Z900 Series Commercial ZTrak Mowers

The Z900 Series is John Deere's line of commercial ZTrak zero-turn mowers for landscape contractors and grounds crews. These gas models use forged 7-Iron mower decks pressed from a single piece of steel, with fewer welds to wear or break.

Koenig Equipment sells the Z900 lineup across Ohio and Indiana, from the Z915E to the 35 HP Z970R. Request a quote on one mower or a full fleet, and our commercial team will help you match engine and deck to your routes.

Diesel, Stand-On or Used?

For diesel power, see the Z900 Series diesel ZTrak mowers. For tight properties, add QuikTrak stand-on mowers or commercial walk-behind mowers. Larger residential properties may be a better fit for the Z700 Series. Shopping pre-owned? Browse used John Deere zero-turn mowers for sale at Koenig, updated as units come in.

John Deere Z900 Series FAQs

What is the difference between M and R Z900 mowers?
R models list a cross-porting hydraulic transmission and carry more warranty hours: 3 years or 1,500 hours versus 3 years or 1,200 hours on M models. Both include the first 2 years with no hour limit.

What is a 7-Iron PRO deck?
It is a mower deck forged from 7-gauge, 0.179 inch steel in a single piece, so there are far fewer welds to wear or break. A 5.5 inch deep deck design moves clippings out quickly.

What is Mulch On Demand?
A 7-Iron PRO deck that switches from side discharge to fully chambered mulching with a single move of a lever.

Can a Z900 run on propane?
Several models, including the Z930M, Z950M, Z930R and Z950R, list a propane option. John Deere's EPA-approved conversion kits are field-installed, and propane tanks are not included.

How fast is a Z900 mower?
The Z920M, Z930M, Z950M, Z950R and Z970R list a speed range of 0 to 12 mph.

What warranty comes with a John Deere Z900?
M models carry 3 years or 1,200 hours and R models carry 3 years or 1,500 hours, whichever comes first, with no hour limit during the first 2 years.
