John Deere Augers and Trenchers

John Deere Auger and Trencher Attachments

Auger and trencher attachments let a skid steer or compact track loader dig post holes, tree holes and utility trenches without bringing in another machine. A hydraulic motor drives the chain or auger from the machine you already own.

Koenig Equipment sells John Deere augers and trenchers across Ohio and Indiana. Our team can help you choose the right model for your machine and how often you dig.

Which Auger or Trencher Fits Your Work?

The biggest decision is duty cycle. Occasional farm and light trenching suits the TC, while daily commercial trenching calls for the TR.

Attachment Built for Drive Hydraulics
TC trenchers Lower-duty cycles in agriculture or light construction Low-profile chain and sprocket drive Standard flow
TR trenchers Higher-duty commercial trenching Heavy-duty planetary drive Takes advantage of high flow
Planetary drive augers Digging holes Updated gearbox and gearbox housing, improved hydraulic motors Ask our team to match the auger drive to your machine

Teeth, Chains and Service

Digging teeth, chains and auger bits wear with every job. Genuine John Deere parts are available through your Koenig store or anytime on Koenig Marketplace, and our service technicians can look over the drive and hydraulics.

Auger and Trencher FAQs

What is the difference between the TC and TR trencher?
TC trenchers are made for lower-duty cycles in agriculture or light construction and use a low-profile chain and sprocket drive with a standard-flow motor. TR trenchers are built for higher-duty commercial work and use a heavy-duty planetary drive.

Do I need high-flow hydraulics for a trencher?
Not for the TC, which uses a standard-flow motor. The TR planetary drive takes advantage of the greater hydraulic horsepower from high-flow hydraulics, so our team can confirm which of your machines are a match.

What are John Deere planetary drive augers designed for?
Durability and uptime. They use improved hydraulic motors and components, and an updated gearbox and housing that improve efficiency and reduce stress.

Where can I buy parts for my auger or trencher?
Koenig Equipment stocks genuine John Deere parts, with same-day delivery from a nearby store or pickup in store, and you can order online on Koenig Marketplace.
