John Deere Manure Constituent Sensing uses the HarvestLab 3000 near-infrared sensor to measure liquid manure nutrients in real time, including dry matter, total N, P2O5, K2O and NH4, along with volume and flow rate. Dry matter readings apply within a range of 2.5 to 10 percent.
The HarvestLab 3000 measures nutrients more than 4000 times per second while you apply. That lets you track the nutrient variation between tank loads and storage locations and apply at a targeted or limited nutrient rate instead of a flat volume.
Automated speed control is available on John Deere 7X30, 8X30 and 9X30 tractors with PowerShift, 6R, 7R and 8R tractors with IVT or e23, and 9R tractors with e23. For John Deere tractors without this capability or other brands, manual speed control is an option.
Yes. The system is designed to install on your current tanker or drag line applicator. Application data is documented on GreenStar 3 2630, 4600 CommandCenter or 4640 Universal displays and can be viewed as nutrient layers in John Deere Operations Center for records and compliance.
Yes. The same sensor can move to a John Deere self-propelled forage harvester, where it adjusts length of cut based on dry matter, or into a stationary kit for testing samples. Using it year-round helps you get more value from the investment.
