Corn Heads

John Deere Corn Heads

John Deere corn heads gather stalks, snap ears and chop residue in one pass. The CR rigid heads run from 6 to 18 rows, and the CF folding heads, from 8 to 18 rows, fold for the road so you can move between fields without a header trailer.

Koenig Equipment sells and supports corn heads across Ohio and Indiana. Request a quote and our team will match the head to your combine, row spacing and acres.

John Deere Corn Head FAQs

What is the difference between a CR and a CF corn head?
CF heads fold for transport, so you can move between fields without a header trailer. CR heads stay rigid. Both use RowMax Chopping Stalk Rolls and Active End Fenders.

How fast does a CF folding corn head fold?
The CF12, CF16 and CF18 fold or unfold in less than 60 seconds on S7 combines and in approximately 40 seconds on X Series combines. When folded, the head sits 12 in. lower for better visibility.

What do RowMax Chopping Stalk Rolls do?
Two opposed, intermeshing stalk rolls per row size 50 percent of the residue to less than 6 in. long, which speeds breakdown in the field.

What are stalk deflectors?
Stalk deflectors mount behind each row and push stubble down toward the ground, reducing damage to combine tires and tracks. They come factory installed on the CF12 and CF16 and are available on other models.

What is Corn Head Automation?
Available with the Ultimate Tech Package, Corn Head Automation uses a cane sensor to set deck plate spacing to stalk size in real time and adjusts back shaft speed to combine ground speed and crop load.
