Koenig Equipment has brought their second network RTK base station on-line. The network RTK base station is located in Champaign County approximately 5 miles from our Urbana dealership. The RTK base station antenna is mounted on a cell tower approximately 300 feet in the air. This base station will be surrounded by 3 repeater radios so the coverage should be excellent for farmers in the area.
RTK (Real Time Kinematics) allows for less than 1" repeatable accuracy 68% of the time, or less than 2" repeatable accuracy 95% of the time up to 12 miles line of sight from the RTK base station. The 3 strategically placed repeater radios will back-fill into areas, giving the area excellent RTK coverage.
